Vertus Institute acts as a partner of the judicial courts. Because of the growing number of cases that weigh on the justice system, mediation plays an increasingly important role in resolving disputes, with the advantages of speed, economy and privacy. Mediation can be used at any stage of a lawsuit, whereby the case is suspended by the judge to allow Vertus Institute to work with the parties and their lawyers to try to reach a settlement, for subsequent judicial ratification. Besides acting in partnership with the courts, Vertus Institute works with public prosecutors and attorneys to help resolve disputes that can legally be submitted to mediation.
