ABOUT THE COMPANY
Vertus Soluções de Conflitos is a center of excellence in mediation and management of conflicts in Brazil. Founded in 2015 by Rubens Decoussau Tilkian, it has the goal of training and helping people, companies and other entities to find negotiated and humanized solutions to neutralize and resolve conflicts, as well as to contribute to the personal formation of individuals, by means of techniques to promote self-awareness and emotional intelligence.

One of the foundations of Vertus’ philosophy is to understand conflict as inherent and inevitable in human relations, but that when managed properly it can be resolved via dialog, without hostility or the need to resort to judicial solutions.
For this to happen, the specialized mediators help the parties to achieve better self-awareness; understand their real motivations, difficulties, beliefs, fears and regrets that underpin their actions, so they can resolve or mitigate disputatious situations.
For Vertus, the causes of conflicts go beyond the material field, so the subjective roots should be the focus of attention, because these are where people typically need assistance for personal development. This attitude is one of the differentials of Vertus.
This is an innovative approach that brings to bear more than a purely material negotiation, but also (and mainly) pays heed to the motivations behind the desires of the parties to the conflict.
The identification and analysis of these motivations can lead to the end of the conflict, with the signing of a settlement accord, and even the true transformation of people and their relationships.
The goal is to generate for the parties involved in a conflict a feeling of overcoming difficulties, fears and regrets, with consequent protagonism of their decisions, which in turn breaks the vicious circle and gives people more strength and satisfaction regarding the path chosen by them.
This method enables a veritable transformation of the vision of the situation and relationship and generates the possibility of reaching a formal settlement to end the dispute or misunderstanding.
This is possible because the methodology allows identifying the characteristics, beliefs, values and backgrounds of the parties involved in a dispute, thus enabling greater assertiveness in meeting their true needs and interests.
This technique stands in counterpoint to the idea that the blame for suffering, failure and conflicts rests with someone or something external to the situation rather than the attitudes of the parties themselves.
Vertus advocates and teaches through its methodology that the responses are always inside of individuals. What Vertus does is shed light on what already exists in each person, helping this construction and the search for insight, i.e., bringing to light what is repressed in the subconscious.
